Windows Store updated with significant UI tweaks

A new update is rolling out to Windows Store for Production Ring users. Apart from the general bug fixes and performance improvement the update bring significant UI tweaks to the app.

Microsoft has been testing this update with Windows Insider for a while now. And finally it made it’s way to Production ring users. The update introduces card-based user interface, just like Google but it looks way better.

The update also includes some catchy Fluent Design Elements. The completely revamped the menu section by getting rid of the hamburger menu. They introduced new ellipsis menu which shows all the general app page. It also includes Settings, Downloads and Update section, My Library, Redeem a code and all other options.

You can clearly see Fluent Design Element’a Acrylic material in the app. Microsoft demonstrated a whole new Windows Store concept with Fluent Design Elements Build 2017. Microsoft will soon announce more details about it. There is a separate Account settings page on the header menu where you can manage or add or remove your work or school account.

Apart from the UI tweaks the app now became more faster and much. With the latest update the Windows Store bumped to the version 11707.1001.23.0. But there is one thing that I don’t like. They removed the accent color from the app. I hope this is just bug. Hopefully they will soon acknowledge the issue and fix it as soon as possible.

So far, new interface looks much better now, especially on Windows 10 Mobile. The new update is available for both Windows 10 Mobile and PC. You can go ahead update the Windows Store from here. And let us know if you find any other notable new feature. Stay tune to Insiders Arena for more updates.
