VLC UWP app is an ultimate media player for Windows 10 devices. Today company rolled out an update to the app for both Windows 10 PCs and mobile devices (also available on Xbox now). The latest updated app has bumped out to version 220.127.116.11.
The latest update doesn’t bring any notable new features to the app but it does bring some serious performance improvement to the app. The update bring improvements in the background music playback. Previously, it was actually stuttering, lagging and randomly stopping, but now it has been fixed.
Furthermore, they also fixed an issue with mobile 360 sensitivity and improved performance with the Direct3D output specially for the ARM devices. This update has also fixed the black screen issue for Xbox devices. In addition the app also gets the overall performance and significance stability improvement. And in case if you don’t know VLC Universal Windows Platform app has been ported via Windows Desktop Bridge aka Project Centennial.
