Twitter announced a new feature to avoid the spam and abuse users. The web version of Twitter updated along with the iOS and Android with this new feature. Company is fighting against the spam and abuse users for a while.
With the latest update they are giving more control to users over their notification. It now provides so many filters to mute specific bunch of users notifications at once. User can now mute notifications from accounts with a default profile picture, users who don’t follow you and users with a new account.
Additionally, with the latest update you can stop the notification from the users who haven’t confirmed their phone number or email address.
So now that the company provides advanced filter settings where you can enable or disable notifications from the certain types of accounts. This new controlled notification might be helpful for the users who’s seeing many spam or not-related topic tweets in their timeline. This feature should really help to cut down on abuse on Twitter.

You can manage this under the notifications >> Settings >> Advance filters. Where you will see all above mentioned filters. This feature is available for web platform and the Android and iOS app also receiving the update. There is no news for the Windows 10 UWP app. But it will be available in near future.
