Skype UWP updated with fluent design element; still no sign of Highlights

A new update is rolling out to Skype Universal Windows Platform app for all Windows 10 users on production ring. Apart from general bug fixes and improvements latest update brings Fluent Design Elements to the app.

About couple of week ago company rolled out same update for the Windows Insiders in the fast ring. Now the update is rolling out for Release preview and production ring users. Update finally bring back the old status control option Skype UWP. Earlier company removed it from the app but after receiving too many negative feedback it’s finally back in the app.

Update also bring Reveal effect of Fluent Design system. Basically the Fluent Design Language will feature a fluid user interface that sports smooth motions and transitions throughout all of the UI components.

About couple of months ago Microsoft refurbished Skype experience by introducing whole new features, new interface and tons of exciting features. Though so far it is only available for Android and iOS. Later on they confirmed that they are working on bring all those exciting feature to Windows 10. But so far no sign of it. Don’t know about Windows 10 PC but I am pretty sure it won’t be available for Windows 10 Mobile.

Back to primary news, latest Skype UWP app update works just fine. They also improved the overall performance of the app and fixed general bugs reported by users.
