Microsoft rolling out a new update to Skype app for the iOS devices. The update bring couple of new features and some notable bug fixes. With the latest update the app has been jumped to version 8.4.3.
With latest update they brought back one of the old feature for iPhones. The ability to post “Mood messages” is now back. “Mood messages” is different from the users status which tells your contacts that you are available, or away, or busy, or away etc. It’s like that tagline we have in WhatsApp. When Microsoft revamped the Skype app this feature wasn’t available, But now it’s back.
Furthermore, the messages now shows with time stamp (date and time). The “Dates in chat” allows you to see when messages were sent or received in chat. They also improved the sign in experience and fixed the notification bug. Now user will receive a notification of message during the Skype call.
In earlier version, users are receiving the calls from the blocked contact, but now this bug has now been fixed and works properly. Apart from that the app also received general performance and reliability improvements. After revamping the Skype app this is another major update to the app.
In case if you don’t know the refurbished version of Skype brings Highlights, new customizable gradients UI, In-Call Reactions and whole new experience. Microsoft is working on couple of more exciting features for the Skype app which are yet to reveal.
Here take a note that new Skype isn’t yet available for the iPad, it is only available for the iPhone. You can download the update from here via App Store.
