OneDrive for Android updated; bring Android Notification Channels support

A new update is rolling out to the OneDrive app for Android users. With latest update the app has been bumped to the version 5.2. Apart from general fixes and improvement the latest update include number of enhancement over the last public version.

Latest update bring better support for Android Oreo. Android Oreo is the latest version of Android OS and the successor of Android Nougat. As per the official change-log OneDrive now supports Android Notification Channel. Android Notification Channel is the part of the Android Oreo update. It allows developers to set the priority level of the app notification. Just like Windows 10 user can also prioritize the notifications for certain apps.

User can choose the notification level from Urgent, High, Medium, Low, Sound, Lights, Vibration, Lock screen behavior, Overrides do not disturb. Of course, the important notification always makes jingle, while a low priority one may just be added to the notification tray. In addition, user can able to set the response to different levels in the Android Settings.
