Office Desktop app now available for Windows 10 users via Windows Store

Today, Microsoft has released the Office desktop apps for Windows 10 S users. In case if you missed it Microsoft already started shipping new Surface Laptop with special version of Windows 10. Back at Build 2017 Microsoft announced that the Office apps are on the way to Windows Store and with the all new Windows 10 S and in order to let user enjoy MS office services company bring Office desktop apps to Windows Store.

With the all new Surface Laptop Microsoft also giving 1 year of free subscription of Office 365 personal along with full access to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote and 1 TB of OneDrive storage.

Although Outlook, Access and Publisher apps are not available in Office 365 Education plans. but users can use web interface to get their work done.

In case if you are wondering there are some differences between the regular Office desktop apps and apps from Windows Store. Talking special about the OneNote then you won’t be able to find the 32 bit version of the OnteNote 2016 Office app; instead user have to install the Universal Windows Platform app of OneNote.
