Microsoft Edge for iOS updated with Dark Mode and Battery usage optimization


In case if you missed it, last month Microsoft released Edge browser for the Android and iOS devices. However, it is yet to come out from beta. But so far preview version now getting more stable then ever before.

Meanwhile, Microsoft releasing a new update for the iOS devices. The new update bring couple of new features and lots of fixes. The new update brings significant battery optimization during multitasking. They also acknowledge the heat up issue and resolved it. Furthermore they also improved page swiping experience (go to forward/backward page).

And finally the dark theme mode here! Yes, the latest update to Microsoft Edge for iOS now allows you to switch to dark mode. In addition support for actions and activities extensions, such as sharing sites, saving sites to Notes, adding sites to Pocket, etc also added.

Along with that they also made overall performance improvement and fixed bugs based on feedback. The update is rolling out for the users who enrolled in the Preview program of Edge on iOS devices via Apple TestFlight. You can go to the App Store and check for update.
