Microsoft to bring new Control Center & redesigned Action Center with Fall Creators Update

About couple of days ago Microsoft released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16199 for PC and Build 15215 for Mobile to the insiders in the fast ring. This build bring number of new features and enhancements in My People and more. But…?

In the announcement post of the Build 16199 and mobile build 15215 they accidentally included an image from the internal build which reveal an interesting “Settings cog” icon on the taskbar. This icon is not available in the latest insider preview build. And they also deleted the image from the post but folks over at Windows Central manged to get the image.

As you can see in an image above Microsoft testing new feature named Control Center. It will contain some Quick Action, which is already available in the Action Center. Furthermore it also include additional toggles and options such as brightness slider and more. Well of course, the Control Center also be customizable.

So, including Quick Action in the new Control Center means the Action Center will┬ábe extensively used for the notifications of apps with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. No offence in that Microsoft is working in redesigning the Action Center with the Fluent Design System. And here’s the first look of redesigned Action Center with Fluent Design System.

The above image reveals the completely redesigned Action Center and there is no Quick Action icons in it. Additionally, you can clearly see the boxed design of notification. Every notification wrapped with transparent design element. The font style and alignment also changed.

Though, these features haven’t been announced yet, it is possible that company cancel or postpone these feature to Redstone 4. We will soon hear more about them in upcoming insider preview build.
