Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is about 3 months away; so of course company still have plenty of time to play with new feature and many other major changes before they start kicking the bugs and optimization process.
Meanwhile we’re hearing that the Microsoft working on a new Mini-view for Groove Music. The compact version of the Groove Music is just like the Windows Media Player. Remember that small button at the right bottom corner of the window which switch the player to the Play made. Just like that they are implementing similar feature in the Groove Music.
And of course as you know Microsoft already implemented the picture-in-picture concept also know as the Compact Overlay in Windows 10. This will allow developers to create an app that show up top of all other apps. They have already implemented it in the Universal Windows Platform Skype app.
The Mini-view also let user to switch over between different settings (change song, pause/play and more) without actually opening the app which is definitely users are looking for. Additionally the compact overlay mode also let you skip to a certain part of the currently playing song, which isn’t available in the volume controls. And user will also change the size of the compact overlay window.
Company is expected to roll out the update for the Groove Music app for the Windows Insider after couple of weeks. Since they temporarily paused the update due to highest stock apps for the Insider in the Fast ring. But if you are lucky and still on the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16226 then there is small possibility that you might get the updated version of the Groove Music app. And no news for any changes or improvements in the app for Windows 10 Mobile. 🙁
