Intelligent image search now available in Microsoft Photos


Microsoft rolling out major update to Microsoft Photos app. The latest update bring intelligent image search to the app. They added a search box at the top right corner in order to search relevant photos.

The intelligent image search uses Artificial Intelligence and machine learning to analyze users photo. Then it automatically add relevant tag to the image. So user can search their photos with those tags for example, nature, mountain etc. In case if you don’t know same feature is already available on OneDrive website, as well as for the Android and iOS app. And now finally they are bringing same feature to the Windows 10 Photos app.

Microsoft announced this feature when they announced Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. And finally it is making it’s way for the Windows Insider in the Release Preview Ring. No update available for the Fast Ring or Slow Ring insiders. This feature will integrate with the Story Remix app which is also part of the Fall Creators Update.

In addition with the intelligent search they are also testing couple of new feature for the Photos app. They are also integrating Bing images search page, modifying stories and more. Though these features are not available yet. But eventually they will add it with the upcoming Windows Insider Preview builds.

Furthermore, you can also search by users. When you click on search bar you will see your contact’s faces below the search bar, and clicking any face would show all the pictures of the individual. In addition, company also working on the Photos app for the iOS and Android devices which is scheduled later this year. And as usual we we are not so sure whether this feature will be available for Windows 10 Mobile or not. You can download the latest update of Microsoft Photos app from the Windows Store from here.
