Game Bar to receive Fluent design elements with Redstone 4

Yet another element is getting the Fluent Design element. Along with all new Cortana experience with Fluent Design elements, Xbox game bar also getting significant improvement with Redstone 4.

Microsoft working on a completely redesigned experience of Game bar. An advance version of Snipping tool, Game bar allows you to take screenshot, record gameplay clips and  stream Xbox One games to a Windows 10 device. Basically it includes 5 simple buttons to perform all above mentioned task. But now company is bringing more features in it.

In fact the first glimpse of it is already in the Windows 10 Redstone 4 Insider Preview build 17046. However it’s hidden maybe in next couple of preview build they will enable it.

As you can see in the image above new Game bar design now has a transparent acrylic design. Of course now it supports dark and light modes. They also updated the animation. Instead of big Xbox Live avatar and now it only shows gamertag. In addition they also introduced a shortcut for Xbox Live profile, Mixer profile, recordings folder.

Enabling game mode is not much easier. Instead of big button they simply added a toggle switch to enable game mode. Oh! and there is a clock and some broadcast setting icon too. Weird thing is there are 2 settings icon on both end of bar.

Game Bar is specially designed to take advantage of the Universal Windows Platform (UWP). You can invoke Game bar using Windows logo key + G key and take screenshot, record gameplay clips, stream Xbox One games with a single click. Are you looking forward for the redesigned Game bar?
