About a month ago Microsoft forked Windows 10 Fast Ring development branch. Windows Insiders on the Fast Ring with Skip Ahead option enable will receive update from the Windows 10 Redstone 4 development branch, while Fast Ring insider receive regular update from RS3_RELEASE branch.
And today, Microsoft releases first Windows 10 Redstone 4 build for Skip Ahead insiders. Since, this is the first build from the Redstone 4 development branch it doesn’t include any notable new features. Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16353 includes some significant improvements to Action Center, Windows Hello and Edge.
Action Center’s “Expand/Collapse” and “see more” button now uses accent color. They also added ability to dismiss all the notification from Action Center with two finger touch gesture. Furthermore, they also fixes an issue which shows mixed DPI scaling. Update also fixed an issue with an unexpected change in mouse sensitivity.
Apart from that they also improved Windows Hello, Microsoft Edge and Asphalt 8 performance with latest build. Skip Ahead Insiders will notice that the build numbers have jumped ahead to 1635x.
Windows 10 Redstone 4 will bring many new features such as Timeline, Standalone app for Story Remix, more Fluent Design Elements and more. Windows 10 Redstone 4 is scheduled for April 2018. However right now company’s focus will remain on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update’s public roll out which is scheduled for September 2017 (September 26).
