Edge Preview gets 3D Touch feature for iOS

About couple of months ago Microsoft officially launched Microsoft Edge browser for iOS and Android devices. Since then the app is getting more and more popular. Recently, Edge  for Android enters Top 20 Free Apps chart in the Google Play Store.

Meanwhile Microsoft rolling out a new update to preview app for iOS. Apart from performance improvement and general bug fixes the app received couple of more major feature in this update.

With latest update Edge preview supports 3D touch technology for supported iPhone devices. On the home screen tap and hold the Edge icon to invoke 3D touch pop up menu. You will see various quick actions such as new tab, new private window, voice search and also QR scanner. This surely increase the accessibility and productivity and you can get things done instantly.


With latest update Microsoft has also added support for integration with various password managers. You will see LastPass and 1Password in browser’s Share menu. In case if you missed it, last week LastPass bring support for Edge browser for Android devices.

With latest update Edge Preview app has been bumped to the version 41.7. You can get the preview app by joining TestFlight program on your iOS device. Still the app is only available for US region, hopefully it will be available globally by early next year.
